Vera and Bruno had a love affair in the past. They randomly meet at a country house for a weekend away from the city. Vera is currently single, but Bruno is dating Sofia, the sister of her friend Flor. None know about their relationship, and there’s a whole weekend ahead of them.
It is summer, it is hot. It is time for the holidays. A young Israeli couple set off on their trip to the Sinai. The sea is to their right and ahead of them is nothing but motorway and the prospect of a few lovely days. The most important thing is with them at all times: their camera. They document their journey without cessation, filming each other and themselves. It’s all about the composition of the picture. It’s also about the composition of their lives, their mutual lives. When they pick up a hitchhiker, their configuration goes into a tailspin. Out of nowhere, danger draws nearer.
Karaoke is the story about Liselotte, an elderly actress looking for a new role in theatre or film. In a series of scenes we follow her as she visits different casting-sessions. Without significant success, she interacts with the people around her. Her only hope remains an old friend Vera, to whom she has not spoken to for years.
