Director's Bio
Kaveh Daneshmand is an Iranian writer and director based in Prague, Czech Republic. A graduate of directing, Kaveh co-founded IRAN:CI, the festival of Iranian films in Prague, Brno and Bratislava in 2012. Since then, he has been active mainly as a writer and director as well as the artistic director of IRAN:CI. His first short film, Occasional Showers, premiered in Fajr International Film Festival and was chosen as the best short film of the year in 2016 by the Union of Writers and Critics in Iran. His second short film, Alula, premiered in the official competition of Oberhausen International Short Film Festival in 2019. At the moment, Kaveh is currently developing his feature debut, a co-production of Czech Republic, Germany, Iran and Canada.
